Blessings to all readers of this blog! It has been a while since I last posted, and I am here to explain why as well as share some exciting news! For the past month, I have been working on editing and preparing some of my messages to be published in a paperback book and eBook through WestBow Press. It just went in the mail this week! The title (unless it is changed) is "The View From My Window: my walk with God".

Prior to Christmas, I was asking God how to get these messages of His to more people? My email list is growing some, and more people are reading on FB, but there has to be something beyond that. How do I grow your Word, God?
Soon after, emails and FaceBook posts appeared on “how to publish a book” or “how to write a book” or “how to market your book”. Are you prompting me to publish, God? Really?
I saw WestBow Press on FB and sent off for their free guide to publishing your own book. Naturally I received a call from them in a few hours. The representative and I spoke for about 30 minutes. He saw the blog and said that I would easily meet their qualifications for publishing with them (and they do have some strict guidelines to be followed!). After doing some research on Christian publishing companies, we had another conversation which included my husband, and I felt that God was wanting me to do this so I signed with them!
Ya’ll don’t know how much this is out of my comfort zone to pursue something like this, but God! I have been contemplating how to share this excitement with you, and God gave me the way! Recently I have been reading through Numbers and Deuteronomy where the Israelites are just about to cross the Jordan River into the Promised Land of Canaan. God was explaining through Moses the history of why they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years and was preparing them for this venture by reviewing all of the Lord’s commands and requirements.
While contemplating this, I wondered what their emotions and thoughts were. This was a new generation who had not crossed the Red Sea on dry land or wandered in the wilderness for 40 years with God providing for their every need. This was a new generation, led not by Moses but Joshua, and ones who had heard the stories of God’s sovereignty in the past generations. How must they feel about this new adventure? Excited to cross over; complacent; anxious; wondering what the future would hold for them?
It was at this point that I realized this was how I was feeling about the book - definitely a new adventure; something I have never done before; feeling excited and somewhat anxious (although I know that God has this!). And wondering what the future holds. Only God has the answers to these questions, and I will learn them in due time.
I thank God for leading me to this point and into this adventure. I thank you, the readers, for following these messages and sharing with others. I am writing these words for you and ME! Remember the words are for the writer first!! I don’t care if there are 5 books sold or 50 or 5,000. As long as the words of God reach those who need them the most and those who will share them. Thank you very much!! Hopefully the book will come out in late summer but I'll keep you posted!
New blog messages will be coming when God gives them to me, hopefully soon!

Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
