Have you ever experienced a hurricane? I have not, but I have experienced something similar. When vacationing on the Outer Banks, NC, Mike and I were in the middle of a nor’easter which came through at full throttle. The winds were at least 26 mph with gusts up to 50 mph! I simply can’t imagine being hunkered down in a cottage with a hurricane blowing through at 75+ mph!
Look at these beam supports for the cottage we stayed in! They were solid and fortified! However the cottage was moving slightly with the larger gusts. I was at the table working a jigsaw puzzle feeling my chair and the table move. Oh my!!! It was during this time that a dear friend sent me the song “The Blessing” by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. Just remember this: When the very core of your being feels like it is swaying and being rocked off its foundation, just hold on; hold on to God; hold on to the Rock of your foundation.
