There are numerous promises which God has made to His people since the beginning. The Bible is filled with them throughout the Old and New Testaments. Promises such as:
· Salvation
· Comfort in our trials
· Things which work out for the good
· Always being with us
· Protection
· His love that never fails
It’s almost hard to stop listing!

This morning as I went on my short walk around the neighborhood, I saw something that gave me hope for cooler weather in the months to come. A red dogwood leaf!
For me, this is the promise of a new season coming:
· a season to bring a change in the landscape;
· a season to show His variety of colors;
· a season to bring the cooler breezes and temperatures;
· a season to bring new life and vitality to each of us after these continuous 90+
degree temperatures which make it hard to breathe
· a season to return to studying His Word in an instructional setting, such as Sunday
School or a Bible study group or church
· a season to begin afresh in His Word!
As much as I would love wearing my shorts and t-shirts year-round, I cannot imagine living where there is no change in the seasons. I am one who loves “change” in certain areas of my life – daily tasks/events, restaurants, seasons, projects. Living the “same” every day becomes uninteresting for me which translates into unstimulating for my brain.
However, God Promised! And I knew when I saw that red leaf that I was seeing one of His Promises. The seasons WILL change. His love will NEVER change. He will comfort us in our daily trials. His Will is best for us. He will protect us. He will always be with us. He alone can offer us salvation for an eternal life with Him.

What more can we ask for?! He Promised!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Rachel
