On Dec 22, 2024, Mount Cana held its special Sunday service - "Songs from our Heart" - A Mount Cana Christmas. It was a beautiful arrangement of piano and individual solos as well as the full choir. I was honored to be a reader, and my reading is written below. God pressed this in my spirit, and I wanted to share with you this Christmas 2024.
Because of Christmas – because God chose to come, we will never be the same again. We have closed the door on yesterday’s lies and have stepped into the light of living in God’s glory. We will walk his path: the humble road of servanthood; the street of joy; the lane of hope. Your glory fills our lives, Lord. We will never be the same again. (smallgroups.com)
We know the story. God knew we could not get past our sin to come to Him. So, He planned what He would do at just the right time. He sent His Son, Jesus, to defeat death and sin and give us everlasting life. He did that for us. We will never be the same again.
God wants us to give our lives to Him and walk His path to servanthood. We will walk the streets of joy and the lane of hope. He did that for us. We will never be the same again.
Some have come to God in their early years, and some have taken that step in their later years. It doesn’t matter when a person has committed their life to Christ. It does matter that a person takes that step. You and I may be able to share our testimony with others, but we can’t make them accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. That step is between the person and God. He did that for us. We will never be the same again.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17)
He did that for us. Because of Christmas, we will never be the same again.
