"All is Well"

Writer's picture: Rachel WestRachel West

It’s almost 11:30pm on December 25, 2020. I’ll bet that all is pretty quiet in your home. Those with young children have been up since early this morning, and those without children may have risen early too. It has been a long and grateful day. Now it is time for quiet; for a settling; a peace; a feeling of hope in our hearts; a feeling that All is Well.

We have celebrated the coming of Jesus all month through Advent, which means “coming”. Today we celebrated the arrival of Jesus, the babe. What a joyous time for God to send us His very own Son! We are grateful!

I pray that the nation is grateful. There are so many who have lost someone this year; lost jobs; lost income for rent and food; lost their way; lost their faith. But I say that not all is lost! I have a plaque in our kitchen which says “There is always something to be thankful for”. All is well!

I pray that in the coming days, we will not lose this feeling of All is Well. As Pastor Sam Chung (Jamieson United Methodist Church) told us on Christmas Eve, do not pack up the light of Jesus and put the decoration boxes away until next year. Keep the light of Jesus that is in our hearts where others may see. This light of caring, helping, understanding; this light which will take away the darkness of this world.

All is Well. I had not heard this song until tonight, and the words and music prompted me to write this message. Michael W. Smith wrote this song. I ask you to access this link which will take you to the Whole Woman Conference, Inc FB page. There you will find this video: https://www.facebook.com/thewholewomanconference

Song sung by Sabrina Underbrink.

All is well all is well

Angels and men rejoice

For tonight darkness fell

Into the dawn of love's light

Sing Ale

Sing Alleluia

All is well all is well

Let there be peace on earth

Christ's come go and tell

That He is in the manger

Sing Ale

Sing Alleluia

All is well all is well

Lift up your voices and sing

Born is now Emmanuel

Born is our Lord and Savior

Sing Alleluia

Sing Alleluia

All is well

Born is now Emmanuel

Born is our Lord and Savior

Sing Alleluia

Sing Alleluia

All is well

Believe it; have faith in Him. All is Well!

Thanks for stopping by,

Rachel
